The word around town is…Grease is the Word.  Loved by audiences since 1971, Grease: The School Version is the family-friendly version of the original Broadway show by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.  Re-written by Jim Jacobs, Grease: The School Version removes the harsh language and mature themes of the original story, but maintains the primary story line and charm, and nearly all of the original songs, including “Summer Nights,” “Greased Lightning,” “Beauty School Dropout,” and “We Go Together,” and includes two songs that were written by John Farrar for the movie version, “You’re the One That I Want,” and “Hopelessly Devoted to You.”
